I cannot vouch for other Squire guitars but the Classic Vibe series is an outstanding bargain for the buck. The only one I really regretted letting go was my Squier Classic Vibe Custom. Also, I've heard people complain about the 1-ply pickguard but it looks fine to me! But the 50s cv squier? You may also decide to replace the thick pickguard with a thinner, period-correct piece as well. Like a bit of a knucklehead, I sold the first one, and immediately regretted it. Good price, great tone, feels good in your hands. With a full and powerful sound output, this guitar is capable of performing at home or at gigs. There are a few differences between the original run and the new 2019. I really wanted a Stratocaster never had one before and wanted to get a Classic Vibe series based on lots of good reviews. I don't doubt that the best custom shop Strat is a finer instrument, but I doubt that it exceeds in an area that truly matters. I've never had any opportunity to play on any Classic Vibe instruments, but I have three Vintage Modified instruments, and I find them all to be excellent players.
I am now totally convinced that so many of the higher priced guitars are selling mostly because so many folks have to have a certain name on the head stock or a certain country of manufacture. With its cool finishes on an alder body and 21-fret vintage tint gloss maple neck, this beauty definitely has that '50s vibe. Otherwise, you might find yourself replacing your guitar out of pocket. The toploading bridge appeals to me, and at this price I can afford to mod it a little in the future. I'm not even sure why or how I stumbled on to the Sweetwater website, but I'm glad I did.

These are very close to an original 56-57 Strat. This guitar is really great! Fit, tone all highest quality. Already i played on a couple of party gigs and i have been very confortable with the axe. Right out of the box ,the feel and set up are there , very comfortable neck , and if you investigate this guitar further you will find that Tonerider Safaris are the chosen pickups similar to 54s , with a little more bite. Things always change but the Squire brand is pretty established. No problems or damage in shipping. I found the neck, tuners, pickups less hum! This too can be utilized in the music though, just get creative. Perhaps these lack the easy adjustability of their modern counterparts, but they will certainly please purists who crave the genuine Tele tone.
